Great News! We have been successful with the $3,000 grant from Retire Australia’s Verge Retirement Village! In our application we said we would conduct a Recruitment Drive with the money. The centrepiece is to be the purchase of t-shirts which commemorate the year we’ve been having. They will be given FREE to all members joining the club this year!
The ladies sizes are 8 (small) 10 (med) 12 (large) up to 2XL which is 16. Mens are XS to 3XL, so if a lady needs a bigger one, she should order a Mens size. Stock is low in ladies S (8) and L (12). So, could you send a quick message ASAP to Lindy (qmmcaptain@gmail.com) David (salterdr@bigpond.net.au) or Margie Watts (margiew1@hotmail.com), telling us your preferred size so the shirts can be ordered straight away!
Another part of the Recruitment Drive is to purchase an A-frame sign which we will put up at the pool when we are training. And this is where I could use some help. Let me know if you have desk-top skills (or dob in another member) to design this for us?
Thanks Lindy
T-shirt sizes I’m afraid the sizing for our ladies’ free t-shirts is unusual. (The men’s sizes seem much more like your normal sizes.) I have got hold of some of the shirts (blank) and think you (the ladies) may need to reconsider the size you require. Let’s talk in S,M,L language – I have measured two things: the shoulder (from the sleeve to the neck edge of the ribbing), and across the front or back (just under the sleeve). I wonder, could you lay out a well-fitting t-shirt out and compare the measurements with those below. Email Lindy if you’d like to make a change (lindysalter@gmail.com). For example, I am usually a S. In this shirt I find even the M a bit tight, so I am going to get a L. They are quite long, but can easily be tucked.
S size: Shoulder 13cm; Width across front 39cm.
M size: Shoulder 131/2; Width 42cm
L size: Shoulder 14cm; Width 46cm
XL: Shoulder 141/2; Width 48cm
2XL: Shoulder 15cm; Width 52cm
I just got one Men's shirt and the M size is 17cm shoulder and 53cm Width. Ladies, if you are unsure, might do better ordering a man’s size! Check out the T-shirt design in the attachment.
